Foolish Storm!

Better late than…well, you know. The NaPoWriMo challenge for Day 26 was a Curtal Sonnet.  Here’s a quick shot at one. Be sure to read the P.S. Enjoy!)

A storm is blowing outside tonight;
one of those springtime storms gone wild.
It will not stop its pompous crowing
but we smile as it wails. For all its might
it's helpless to push its way inside.
You foolish storm! Just keep on blowing!

From here the lightening flash is splendid.
Cuddled together, cozy and mild
we muse on the wind and where it's going,
and why the weather's to be commended:

It's — not — snowing!

(P.S. Yes, indeedy, it was snowing today both north and south of my home in RoseAppleFarmVille, USA.  Here, though, mere April showers, however chilly!)
